Urban Farm
Mixed-Use Nottingham,  UK  1st Year Project (2019)

NORTH-SOUTH SECTION

The challenge of the brief was to design a sustainable urban farm that can produce food and recycle/process waste material in Nottingham.

While cities are now struggling to meet even the minimum standards of self-reliance, the project explored a different way of living in the city. Located right next to the city centre, this urban farm provided living space for two farmers as well as plenty of working space to farm and work with volunteers.

Besides beekeeping, wormery, and growing a wide variety of fruits, herbs and vegetables, the farm runs a cafe, education/events room and an external market stall for selling produce (see the end of the page).
